Raindrops fall, sweep across the window pane Wonder why, the Great Beyond hides His face, behind the clouds Moments ago, His presence lit my back with warmth Now cold drips down, loneliness soaks through my skin, deep within But the promise of the rain is that the garden will grow Love sprouts up anew, deep within my hardened soul The case of rock wrapped round my heart shudders and cracks No thing of the world has strength to hold Him back Nothing shall prevail His power is as gentle as the rainfall The heaving storms, He quiets in my soul Fear and doubt, they mist away, smoothing, soothing, cooling Even in the dark of rain, I know that He is by my side The clouds that lie low, are nothing more than His embrace For the promise of the rain is that the garden will grow Love sprouts up anew, deep within my hardened soul The case of rock wrapped round my heart shudders and cracks No thing of the world has strength to hold Him back Nothing shall prevail His power is as gentle as the rainfall Naught is left, within me save to glorify My soul no longer cleft, free to lift Him high With one voice, and one heart, and one soul, to lift Him high Cuz the promise of the rain, is that the garden will grow Love sprouts up anew, deep within my hardened soul The case of rock wrapped round my heart shudders and cracks No thing of the world has strength to hold Him back Nothing shall prevail His power is as gentle as the rainfall

Shepherd 04:54
I shall not want I shall not want, for anything For you leadeth me beside still waters You lay me down in fields of green You restore my soul You restore my soul So I shall not want Thy rod and staff Thy rod and staff, they comfort me For you plant me safe among my enemies With them a table you prepare for me And you fill my cup Yeah you fill my cup, to overflowing An anointing over me Yea, though I walk, through the valley of death, I will fear no evil For you, like a shepherd with sheep, are always standing there watching over me And you're leading my way, guiding my steps, on a trail both narrow and steep Like a deer on a cliff, every foothold so sure, on your pathways of righteousness So for all my life For all my life, I'll dwell with you my Shepherd Your mercy clothing me in brilliance Your goodness rooted in my heart So let your will be done In my life, let your will be done And let your kingdom come In this world, let your kingdom come

Blessed 07:01
Stop, for once in your life Wait, just give it a chance Think, what if I'm right And there's a God who loves you, and He's just waiting for you to invite him inside Hear the mysteries spoke within Taste the honey and the milk Touch the wounds in His hands and His side See the lepers cleansed, and Lazarus come alive There's a life I know that never ends And it begins with a death to one's own interests One way or another we'll pass through that veil And find ourselves just beyond, we'll be no longer frail So when the Spirit calls, do not harden your hearts Listen, and you will enter that rest And I know you'll be blessed Stand strong on His promises Run in grace, the race He has given you Take on your dragons, wearing the armor of the Lord And over the battlefield, like an eagle you will soar Share everything that He's given you Love forever, cuz you know it's what you were made to do Care for the neighbors, He's put around you near and far Tell all the world, how He opened your eyes and your heart Yeah this is the life I know that never ends It begins long before we draw our final breath It flows from the only true fountain on high Sets you free to give all, cuz it never runs dry So when the Spirit calls, do not harden your heart Listen, and you will enter that rest And I know you'll be blessed Now rest, you've come to the finish line Be at peace, your battles are won Do not fear for the ones you left behind They are held by the love of the Son Wait, I can't yet come after you I still have much work down here that He's called me to do But that day will soon come, and I'll see you again When great grief and great joy become one So when the Spirit calls you home Do not harden your heart, go along And for you who have entered eternal rest I know you're blessed

about

Hi friends! I'm very excited to be publishing my very first E.P. here on Bandcamp. The spirit and soul of these three songs is rest. My hope is that they can lead you into a time of peace and contemplation on the promises of love, care, protection, provision, and growth that have been given to all of us. May you fully enter into rest!
